Bojangles Open House

At the Bojangles Open House, every student who wants to perform can––but it’s never required. An all-star band made up of Bojangles instructors creates an ideal welcome to the stage for newcomers, while some students opt to perform solo. Favorite artists from Houston’s rich music scene hop up for a song or two, too.

Cold drinks, hot jambalaya, and nonstop music make for a fun Sunday afternoon for the entire Bojangles family.

“When there are dogs and music, people have a good time.” - Emmylou Harris

The open house is held twice a year: once in November, and once in March.

Bojangles Workshops

Bojangles Workshops are one-day sessions led by experts. Held at Bojangles Heights, the seminars are typically held on Sunday afternoons.

A Day for Guy

The first annual A Day for Guy celebrated songs the legendary Guy Clark wrote and his favorites he didn’t write on what would have been his 81st birthday, Sunday, November 6, 2022, in the Continental Club’s backyard in Houston. Produced by Bojangles Music School and the same team behind the acclaimed A Night for Guy, A Day for Guy featured performances by top local musicians and Bojangles students, underscoring the staying power of Clark’s music and the depth of talent working in the Bayou City today.

All ages attended––and children’s admission was free.

Proceeds from A Day for Guy benefitted 90.1 KPFT, Houston’s only independent radio station.
